NotaBotYet
NotaBotYet was founded in 2015 by wife-and-husband team Thresa Gay, an experienced administrator, and Michael Gay, an engineering executive. It all started with a spark of creativity and a label on a circuit board.
While helping his daughter build a robot, Michael created a custom circuit board and jokingly marked it “NotaBotYet.” About six months later, during a studio build, one of Michael’s engineering colleagues spent days soldering 15-pin connectors for an Axia GPIO xNode. Michael thought, There has to be a better way. He designed circuit boards to convert the 15 pins to RJ-45 and, just for fun, recycled the “NotaBotYet” name again. That little breakout board caught the attention of a popular broadcast product dealer who said, I could probably sell a lot of those! Can you make more?
The name stuck and eventually became the identity of a company focused on solving real-world engineering challenges. NotaBotYet grew from a side project into a trusted source for practical, affordable tools that make studio installations easier and more efficient. What began with a single breakout board design quickly evolved into a full product line, thanks to industry encouragement and the couple’s shared passion for innovation and the challenges faced by broadcast engineers.
Today, NotaBotYet is a family-run engineering and manufacturing company specializing in smart, low-voltage solutions for radio and media studios.
