These hoods are designed to be used with cameras which have a zoom lens. Especially useful with DSLR cameras. The cut edges prevent vignetting when using the wide angle setting. Hard plastic prevents lens damage. Screw-in design, easy to rotate to the proper position. The size indicated is the filter size, not the focal length.
