This is a passive cable which features a female RJ45 to a single balanced XLR male connector for analog connections, as well as, AES-EBU applications.

In addition, this cable adapter is also excellent for point to point connection of any balanced or unbalanced audio signal up to 250 feet.  Shielded CAT5 or CAT6 cable is required for balanced signals.
