This rod clamp slides over a standard rig 15mm rod, and allows you to attach an accessory which has a male 1/4x20 standard tripod thread. Use to attach monitors, light, mics., etc. Very useful with the articulating friction arms, as these have a male 1/4x20 threaded mount on the bottom, just remove the flash foot adapter.
