This is a 1 1/8” Stud with a 5/8” female socket and threaded stud on top to allow mounting lighting with adjustable yokes on to stands and light grids. It is usually called a Bale. The stud is provided with a wing nut to secure the light yoke. Due to the 1 1/8” diameter of the stud, It can also be used in Junior Receivers.
