ADAPTERS

You have all this great digital and analog equipment but somethings just will not connect!  That is where one of our many audio, video or network adapters will come in handy!

WHAT IS AN ADAPTER?

OK this may be a no brainier for most but in case you do not know, adapters are passive devices designed to change a connection type, it's gender and sometimes the signal path.

THE CONNECTION LOOKS THE SAME!

Many devices use the same connections but have different signals and levels. A good example is the common RCA connection that is used for analog audio, digital audio and video signals.  Adapters will not change the signal type from one device to another (they make converters for that).

AUDIO SIGNAL - BALANCED or UNBALANCED

Most pro audio equipment use a 3 wire configuration, which is refereed to as balanced and typically uses an XLR or TRS connection.  2 wire configuration is refereed to as unbalanced.  These adapters are available in both configurations and look virtually identical so make sure you order the correct model for your use.
